January is a typeface based in contradiction. On the one hand, it is modern, with minimalist geometric shapes. On the other, its structure and proportions clearly inherit typeface traditions of the English baroque.
The face’s outline can have fractal layers and developments and if needed, circles can be replaced by other shapes such as squares, triangles or pretty much anything else.
The typeface works differently in different sizes. Large letters look great on posters, covers and as art objects.
In smaller sizes January can be seen as a text typeface.
