Origins wallpaper. Thistle

Wallpaper in the Origins range is inspired by ideas of many generations of artists and designers from all over the world.

The range is built around natural associations that are evident both in graphic motifs and the color scheme.

Thistle pattern is the most picturesque and metaphorical of all: you can see the “fairytale bird” and “purple dance of lights” and “splashes of the northern dawn” in it (N. Zabolotsky).

The classic acanthus ornament is made here in the traditions of artists of Diaghilev’s Russian Seasons while also alluding to the decorations of the famous Russian avant-garde artist V. Tatlin.

An expressive element of the pattern are large sculptural thistle flowers. Thistle is thought to be the magic grass that according to the Slavic beliefs gives good luck, courage and determination.

Matching basic wallpaper Cashmere and Linen were chosen to supplement Thistle.
